Guide to Using the FWDM Query Form
Description
Federated searching is a system that provides a common user interface for searching and retrieving information across heterogeneous datasets over the Internet. This query form allows any user to find mathematician(s) in different mathematical societies' directories. The major difference between this version and the previous version is in the way results are returned. This program outputs three tables. The first table shows the user's query. The second table lists the results by name with each name having links to webpages that pertain to the corresponding name from each directory. The third table lists the number of results from each directory.
This version searches through the following directories: Combined Member's List (CML), Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS), Deutsche Mathematiker-Vereinigung MathNet directories (MathNet), French Mathematical Society (SMF), the Australian National Committee for Mathematics (NCMS), and the Electronic World Directory of Mathematicians.
