Here is Kiyosi Itô's "thank you speech". | The Gauss Prize was presented to Junko Itô, the youngest daughter of the recipient, by King Juan Carlos of Spain. Kiyosi Itô could not attend the award ceremony for health reasons. Martin Grötschel, chair of the Gauss Prize Committee, announced the winner with a Power Point presentation [also available in PDF].
