Four ICMI Studies are currently in process. Nineteen Studies have been completed.
The volumes resulting from the ICMI Studies now appear in the New ICMI Studies Series (NISS) published by Springer under the general editorship of the President and the Secretary-General of ICMI.
20. Educational Interfaces between Mathematics and Industry (EIMI)
This Study is a joint project with the International Council for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (ICIAM). The co-chairs of this 20th ICMI Study are Alain Damlamian (Université Paris XII, France) and Rudolf Sträßer (Justus-Liebig-Universität Gießen, Germany). José Francisco Rodrigues (Universidade de Lisboa, Portugal) is the organiser of the Study Conference. The Discussion Document may be found at the Study website and the Study Conference was held on October 11-15, 2010 in Lisbon, Portugal.
21. Mathematics Education and Language Diversity
The Discussion Document is out and can be found at the Study website at www.icmi-21.co.za . The Study Conference was held in São Paulo, Brazil, from 16 to 20 September, 2011.
22. Task Design
The Study Chairs are Anne Watson and Minoru Ohtani. The Study Conference will be held July 22nd to July 26th 2013 at the Department of Education, University of Oxford, UK. 23. Primary Mathematics Study on Whole Numbers
This will be the 23rd ICMI Study. Professor Mariolina Bartolini of University of Modena-Reggio Emilia, Italy and Assistant Professor Sun Xuhua of the University of Macau, China have agreed to Co-Chair this study.
