ICM'98

I.1 Membership

It has been a long tradition to call any person who has registered for ICM an Ordinary Member of the Congress. Registration is required in order to be admitted to the scientific program of the Congress. Ordinary members will receive a registration package including a congress badge, the program, an abstract book, one complimentary public transport ticket valid for the duration of the Congress, and other material at the registration counter as well as a complimentary copy of the Proceedings when published. Furthermore the registration fee includes the Opening Ceremonies with the Lunch Buffet, free coffee during coffee breaks, and the Party.

Please do wear your congress badge at all congress activities or whenever you want to be recognized as a congress member; in any case, be prepared to show the badge when asked to do so.

Students not having completed their PhD may choose to register at the reduced student rate by supplying an official student certificate of their university. Student registration does not include the Proceedings volume.

You can find an image of the ICM'98 bag distributed on registration on the page of ICM'98 souvenirs.
