Next ICM

• The next ICM will be held in Hyderabad, India, August 19-27, 2010. Please go to the ICM 2010 server for detailed information. The ICM 2010 Organizing Committee has produced three posters advertising the Congress. You can download the posters from here. The Organizing Committee asks all mathematical institutions in the world to download, print and post them.
• The IMU has set up the ICM 2010 Program Committee (PC). Its chair is

  The PC has set up the structure of the ICM 2010 program (which includes 20 sections) and determined the panels for all the ICM sections. If you have suggestions for invited section or plenary speakers, please contact Prof. Lenstra by email, see IMU AO Circular Letter 3/2008.
  
  The roles the Program Committee and the Organizing Committee play in the preparation of the scientific program of an ICM is described in the PC/OC Guidelines.

  A data base has been compiled from the proceedings volumes of the ICMs since 1897. The data base can be viewed in several versions:
  • sorted by speakers' last name
  • sorted by congress year, and subsequently, by speakers' last name
  • sorted by section name, and subsequently, by speakers' last name
  • a simple search interface
  The data base probably contains still some errors. Moreover, the section names have changed over the years considerably and are contained in the data base only in some abbreviated form. This means that the "section view" currently provides only a somewhat inconsistent picture.

  We encourage readers who found errors in the data base to send the observation (and if possible, the correction) to technician@mathunion.org so that the data can be updated.

  • Guillermo P. Curbera (Universidad de Sevilla), who curated the exhibition on the history of the International Congresses at ICM 2006 in Madrid, has made parts of the exhibition electronically available.

• Videos recorded at the International Congresses in 1998 (Berlin), 2002 (Beijing), and 2006 (Madrid) show the opening ceremonies, plenary lectures, and some other events at these ICMs.

ICM related Grants

The International Mathematical Union, in cooperation with other mathematical organizations and the local Organizing Committee of an ICM, provides Grants to Young Mathematicians as well as Grants to Senior Mathematicians from developing and economically disadvantaged countries. At each ICM, the local organizers usually offer further grant programs.
