On behalf of the International Congress of Mathematicians, we state that the ICM 2018 set to be held in Riocentro, Rio de Janeiro, will not be compromised by the Pavilion 3 fire on Sunday, July 30th 2018. The event will take place in three pavilions of the convention center, only Pavilion 3 has been affected.

A task force has been working on-site since Sunday in order to keep the schedule unaltered and to assess the best possible way to transfer the activities to a different pavilion – a replacement was immediately provided by Riocentro.
All adjustments and the necessary relocation of planned events are under way in direct collaboration with Riocentro and equipment providers.
