The last day for registration with reduced fees at ICM 2018 is July, 13. If you confirm your attendance, the fee is USD 500 (participants), USD 250 (master or Ph.D. students) or USD 120 (accompanying persons). After that deadline, registration will only be possible on-site, at Riocentro, starting at 10 a.m., July 31. Don’t leave it to the last minute! Registration online is based on Brasília local time.

ICM 2018 will be open to the participation of schools in a special program of activities designed for a general audience, including mathematical exhibits, workshops and games, and public talks by prominent mathematicians E. Ghys, I. Daubechies, C. Villani, T. Tokieda and R. Martins.

You can contribute to these activities by making a donation to the ICM 2018 Outreach Fund. All the money raised through this fund will go toward funding participation in the above program, thus furthering our goal of sowing the seeds for a mathematical future in Brazil.

To make a contribution, go to the ICM 2018 Registration Area. If you still don’t have an account, click on “I haven’t yet registered” to start the registration process. You will be given the chance to make a donation when paying for your registration.

If you already have an account, just log into the system, click on “Registration” and then on the symbol to the right of “Outreach fund”, and follow the instructions to make your donation.

Organized for the ICM participants and their companions, the congress's dinner party will be held on August 4 at 7.30 PM at Riocentro. During the event, the Gauss and Chern prizes will be awarded. There will also be cultural attractions and entertainment especially designed for the participants. If you have already signed up for ICM 2018 but did not join the social banquet, you can still guarantee your place until July 13. In order to do that, you must access the registration area on the congress website and make the payment. After that date, it can be made only on-site depending on vacant places.

Have you seen the ICM 2018's scientific program yet? Check it in advance and choose the lectures you want to watch. There are 21 plenary lectures and 19 invited sections, ranging from Logic and Foundations to the History of Mathematics, through Algebra, Partial Differential Equations, Mathematical Physics, and many others. There is still time to purchase the complete four-volume set of ICM hardcover Proceedings set for USD 230! But this special offer is valid only for the bookings made during the registration process prior to July 13, 2018. All you need to do is access the ICM 2018 Registration Area and make your reservation. You will be billed and the Proceedings set ?will be mailed directly to you by World Scientific Publishing Co.

The attendees will also be able to buy the Proceedings set at the Congress for USD 280.

The World Health Organization (WHO) recommends vaccination against yellow fever for all international travelers visiting Brazil. The procedure is in accordance with a national strategy adopted in order to prevent new cases of the disease. Brazil does not require the International Certificate of Vaccination and Prophylaxis to enter its territory, but the Ministry of Health recommends international travelers to update their vaccination situation at least 10 days prior to the travel.

An important satellite event of the ICM 2018, the World Meeting for Women in Mathematics - (WM)² will take place at Riocentro convention center on July 31, 2018, the day before the Congress begins. Its program includes research talks, group discussions about gender issues in mathematics, a panel and poster presentations. There will also be a tribute to Maryam Mirzakhani, the only woman to have received the Fields Medal, in 2014, who passed away in 2017. To participate, register here!
