The Sichuan Normal University in conjunction with the Chinese Mathematical Society and the Chinese Society for the History of Mathematics hosted a conference "In Commemoration of the 300th Anniversary of Euler's Birth and the 400th Anniversary of the Publication of the Chinese Translation of Euclid's Elements" at the Sichuan Normal University in Chengdu, PRC. The co-chairs of the Organizing Committee were Eberhard Knobloch (Germany) and LIU Yingming (China). The International Advisory Committee consisted of Henk Bos (The Netherlands), CHEN Cheng-Yi (USA), Christopher Cullen (UK), Joe Dauben (USA), DU Shiran (China), Erwin Neuenschwander (Switzerland), SONG Naiqing (China), and B. Yadav (India). The co-chairs of the Scientific Program Committee were Karen Parshall (USA) and LI Wenlin (China) with the committee consisting of 24 scholars from six different countries.
