To promote international cooperation in mathematics.
To support and assist the International Congress of Mathematicians and other international scientific meetings or conferences.
To encourage and support other international mathematical activities considered likely to contribute to the development of mathematical science in any of its aspects, pure, applied, or educational.
The conference
celebrates the centennial of this historic event. The opening of the conference will take place in the same building used for the ICM 1920. Up-to-date information regarding the conference can be found here.

The International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) will take place in Saint Petersburg, Russia, between 6–14 July 2022. The registration and grant application for ICM 2022 are now open. Further information can be found here.
NB. The ICM will take place on 6–14 July 2022 as planned. If the situation requires it, part of the congress will be virtual.
The 19th IMU General Assembly will be held shortly before ICM 2022 on 3–4 July.
The IMU grants a number of prestigious prizes and awards every four years at the ICM. A call for nominations for the 2022 IMU prizes was issued with an extended deadline of 28 February 2021. Further details are available here. The 2022 IMU prizes and awards will be presented at the Opening Ceremony of the ICM on 6 July 2022.
