CWM congratulates its former vice-chair, Professor Caroline Series, for being awarded a CBE for her services to mathematics. Professor Series was the third female president of the London Mathematical Society (LMS), holding the post from 2017 to 2019. She was also a founding member of European Women in Mathematics, and was CWM first vice-chair from 2015 to 2017.

Former CWM chair Marie-Francoise Roy is awarded with the title "Math Maker" of the months May and June 2023 by DMV, the German Mathematical Society. She is known for her work and books on algorithms for real algebraic geometry. She is a member of several associations for the advancement of women in mathematical and general scientific and technical studies and careers. She is also a member of associations working for scientific development in Africa, particularly in Niger. Reasons enough to award the dedicated mathematician for her numerous activities.
The Meetings for Latin American Women in Mathematics aim to strengthen the Latin American network of women in mathematics. The 1st edition took place in Mexico in 2016, and the 2nd edition took place in Chile in 2018. The 3rd one will take place in Tunja, Colombia, on June 2-4, 2023, and is supported by CWM.
