In service training is usually organized locally either in a region by the Antenne de la Pédagogie et de la Formation Continue (APFC) or in a structure regrouping all the mathematics teachers in a same locality or one school.
For private secondary school teachers, training is organized by the Directorate for the Supervision of Private Institutions in order to issue an authorization to practice.
The degrees required to access this training are a Bachelor's degree for lower secondary teachers and a Master's degree for upper secondary teachers.
