Breakout Graduate Fellowship grants are funded by the generous donations from Breakthrough Prize winners. The award of full PhD grants goes to students from developing countries engaged in a PhD degree in the mathematical sciences in a developing country. The IMU CDC supports mathematicians and mathematical communities in developing countries through a range of grants and programs.

The Abel Visiting Scholar Program for Graduate Students supports highly motivated graduate students from developing countries to visit an international research collaborator for a period of one month. Deadline is now extended to September 15, 2026. Find out more on the program website.
The CDC held its annual webinar on November 3, 2025. This time, the webinar focused on the Volunteer Lecturer Program, inviting host institutions and volunteer lecturers who have benefited from the program to share about their experience. Additionally, the CDC extends an invitation to everyone planning to attend the ICM in Philadelphia next year to join the CDC Special Activity which will be held during the ICM.
