The 7th International Conference for Harmonic Analysis and Approximations (HAA, VII) was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Alexandr Talalyan and held in Tsaghkadzor.
The conference was held at Birzeit University and gathered 41 attendees around various fields of mathematics, such as statistics, game theory, analytic combinatorics, probability, differential or difference equations. Through the talks mathematical and statistical research were motivated and encouraged. Bachelor and Master Students got to see new topics in Applied Mathematics and Statistics when applied to real life to solve problems in industrial economics and science.
The SEAMS (SOUTH EAST ASIAN MATHEMATICAL SOCIETY) School on Dynamical Systems and Bifurcation Analysis was organized by the School of Mathematical Sciences,
This CIMPA Research School was conducted by the Romanovsky Institute of Mathematics of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan in Tashkent. The main purpose of EMALCA (La Escuela de Matemática de América Latina y del Caribe) is, in addition to promoting the interrelation of Central American students and professors, to contribute to reducing the deficit of mathematical knowledge and the gap in research capacities in pure mathematics and applied between the countries of the region, as well as to increase in the medium term the human capital in Central America. EMALCA El Salvador was held in San Miguel and hosted 49 students.
The CIMPA Research School "Geometric and Homological Methods in the Representation Theory of Associative Algebras and Their Applications " was held at the Maison Marie Pouseppin during 18-27 June. Also these three universities organized the “3rd Internacional Colloquim on Representations of Algebras and Its Applications; Alexander Zabadskij”, which was held at the Maison Marie Pouseppin during June 27 – 29. Both events were held in 2018, in the city of Medellín.
