The Individual Travel Research Program supported mathematicians from developing countries to travel to a mathematical institution (worldwide) for collaborative research (minimum stay of four weeks). The reaserch visit had to be tied to a specific research project/plan and a collaborating institute.
The grant covered travel costs of the grantees for up to 5,000 Euro (accommodation and local living expenses for the first month).

Canada is a large country comprised of 10 provinces and 3 territories. We do not have a centralized curriculum and every province and territory is responsible for its own. As such, I will only report on the curriculum for British Columbia. Curriculum information for this province can be found at:

Iranian mathematics Professor Maryam Mirzakhani, the first and to-date only female winner of the Fields Medal since its inception in 1936, died Friday, July 14. Her receipt of the Fields Medal three years ago ended a long wait for women in the mathematics community for the prize, first established in 1936.
The winner of the 2017 Ramanujan Prize for Young Mathematicians from Developing Countries is Eduardo Teixeira of the Federal University of Ceará, Brazil. The prize is in recognition of Teixeira's outstanding work in Analysis and Partial Differential Equations.
On June 2017 another CDC graduate scholarship program was launched, aimed at students listed as Priority 1 and 2 countries among the developing countries listed on the CDC website.
