The ICHM enhanced in a number of ways the intellectual and social activities associated with the International Congress for the History of Science held in Beijing during the week of 24-30 July, 2005.

Parshall (University of Virginia and took place at the Joint Meetings of the American Mathematical Society held in San Antonio, Texas, USA. The talks (titles, speakers, and abstracts below), each of which lasted a half-hour, drew audiences of between 75 and 150.
