The ICMI (International Commission on Mathematical Instruction) promotes global collaboration and excellence in mathematics education through international programs and research.
The Local Organizing Team, lead by Anjum Halai and the Programme Manager, Ferdinando Arzarello met in Dar el Salaam to discuss the next CANP (CANP 4, East Africa) which will be held in Dar el Salaam in September 2014.

The IPC of ICMI Study 23 would like to invite papers for the 23rd ICMI Study:
"Primary Mathematics Study on Whole Numbers".
The meeting has been held at IMPA in Rio de Janeiro. About 60 participants took part in the 3 day meeting.

Bernard Hodgson visited the IMU Secretariat Archive from May 13th-21st of May 2014
The ICMI Archive Curator took first steps towards digitalising old ICMI materials. He also met with the IMU Secretariat Archivist Birgit Seeliger and the IMU Archive Curator Guillermo P. Curbera and the IMU Secretary Martin Groetschel.
