The ICMI (International Commission on Mathematical Instruction) promotes global collaboration and excellence in mathematics education through international programs and research.
The 14th International Congress on Mathematical Education has concluded successfully on July 18th, 2021.

On July 12th, 2021, the 14th International Congress on Mathematical Education (ICME) was opened.
The congress is held hybrid - online as well as real live in Shanghai, China, between July 12-July 18, 2021.
After the official opening of the congress, the Award Ceremony for the 2017 and 2020 Felix Klein and Hans Freudenthal Awardees, as well as the 2020 Emma Castelnuovo Award was held.
The main association of for Mathematics Education (Research) in the three German-speaking countries Germany, Austria and the German-speaking parts of Switzerland is Gesellschaft für Didaktik der Mathematik (GDM). It holds annual five-day conferences with more than 800 participants and annual or bi-annual summer schools for young researchers.
The Indian National Science Academy is the IMU adhering organization for India. The country representative for ICMI is nominated by the Academy through a process of consultation by its advisory and section committees.
