The CIMPA School on Combinatorial Commutative Algebra was held at Department of Mathematics, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology(CIIT), Lahore Campus. A total of 78 researchers have participated in the event. In each morning session there used to be three lectures of one hour each while evening sessions were dedicated to tutorials and short presentations by the participants. Ten students have presented their research while many students had actively participated in the tutorial sessions.
The aim of the school was to give students and young researchers from the Central African subregion a training in algebraic topology and geometry, on topics that are the subject of current research. The Cameroonian participants came from different universities (Yaounde, but also Dschang, Maroua ...), foreign participants came mainly from the Republic of Congo. The courses focused on the foundations of algebraic topology, configuration spaces, opera theory, homology and cohomology, pre-algebra and information geometry.
