The "9na Escuela de Matemática de América Latina y el Caribe" in Bolivia took place at Universidad Mayor de San Andrés in La Paz, located at an elevation of about 11,811 feet above sea level. The aims of the school were to put young students in contact with relevant topics of current interest and to encourage the most outstanding to continue postgraduate studies.
The East Asian Conference on Algebraic Topology (EACAT) is a biannual conference on the broad area of Algebraic Topology. The seventh conference of this series was held at IISER Mohali, India, during December 01-06, 2017. The conference was organised jointly by IISER Mohali and IIT Ropar. There were a total of 33 talks on various aspects of Algebraic Topology by experts from 07 countries. A proceedings of EACAT consisting of contributed articles by some speakers and some well-known topologists from the region is under preparation and will be published by Springer.

The CIMPA research school “Explicit Number Theory" was organized by CIMPA in conjunction with The University of the Witwatersrand. It was held at the University of the Witwatersrand from the 8th to the 19th of January 2018. Forty participants from 18 countries attended the conference including 16 from South Africa and 24 from other countries: 2 from Benin, Congo, Ghana, India, and Pakistan, 1 from Algeria, Austria, Croatia, Egypt, France, Japan, Israel, Ivory Coast, Mali, Perù, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, and Sudan.
