International Summer School on Multi-scale Analysis Methods and Applications (ISSMAMA), Philippines, July 10-22, 2017

The objectives of the 2017 International Summer School on Multi-scale Analysis Methods and Applications (ISSMAMA) were to introduce and explore various multi-scale analysis tools and discuss applications important in the current technology-driven economy, foster the interdisciplinary collaboration between student and researchers from Math, physics and engineering on the area of analysis of multi-scale phenomena, bring together the community of local and international like-minded peers, and encourage a vibrant scientific and cultural exchange. The conference was partially

XXII Latin American Algebra Colloquium, Ecuador, August 7-11, 2017

The XXII Latin American Algebra Colloquium took place in PUCE Quito (Ecuador) from 7. to 11. August 2017. The event was completely successful, being important in the Equadorian mathematical context. All plenary and thematic sessions took place as expected and the proceedings will be published as a special number of the Revista Colombiana de Matemáticas.

International Conference on Class groups of Number Fields and Related Topics, India, September 4-9, 2017

The aim of this conference was to bring various experts on the subject at one place and provide young number theorists an opportunity to learn the techniques in the subject. This four day conference was begun with a keynote talk on September 04, 2017 and end with a valedictory function on September 07, 2017. There were 15 sessions consisting of one keynote, 6 plenary, 12 invited and 12 young scholar's talks. The details about this conference is available on the conference web page.

Noncommutative Geometry and Applications to Quantum Physics Conference, Vietnam, July 12-22, 2017

Noncommutative Geometry (NCG) is a vivid research subject in Mathematics and Physics. The main goal of this school was to train local researchers and students in these topics and to establish strong research collaborations with colleagues, students and researchers.

CIMPA Research School on Harmonic Analysis, Geometric Measure Theory and Applications, Argentinia, July 31st - August 11th, 2017

The school gathered students and young scientists, as well as experts working in the area of Harmonic Analysis and Geometric Measure Theory, both, from the theoretic, as well as the applied point of view. It provided a unique learning opportunity for young researchers, especially from Latin America, in several recent and important developments in applications. It will help to create future researchers in mathematics and in signal and image processing in this part of the world.

Report on West Asia Mathematical Schools WAMS entitled Iterative Methods For Solving The Boundary's Data Reconstruction Problems held at the University of Salahaddin, Kurdistan- Iraq, December 18-29, 2017

This school was the third one, supported by CIMPA and organized in the region of Kurdisatn. It was based on the analysis of the problem of reconstruction of data on the boundary, known as the Cauchy problem, using iterative algorithms inspired by domain decomposition methods.

Since 2014 CDC has organized CDC-ICM special activities to strengthen Mathematics in the Developing World.

SEAMS School - Partial differential equations for image processing: theory and numerics, Thailand, January 3 – 12, 2018

This school was the first active SEAMS school concerning numerical analysis and scientific computing of partial differential equations in Thailand. It testifies the ability of the Silpakorn Dept. of Mathematics to participate in South East Asia (ASEAN) cooperation. The conference introduced a basis of the theoretical and numerical mathematical analysis to study partial differential equations arising in image processing. Theoretical lectures were complemented by practical sessions through scientific Python software.
