The ICMI (International Commission on Mathematical Instruction) promotes global collaboration and excellence in mathematics education through international programs and research.
In Ireland, the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NCCA) has responsibility for the development of curricula in line with advances in research. In recent years the NCCA has also contributed to the interpretation and implementation of the curriculum in schools, through developing and providing evidence-based resources in Curriculum Toolkits.
Research in mathematics education in Chile is a well-established and dynamic field, coordinated mainly by the Chilean Society for Mathematics Education (SOCHIEM), which brings together the national academic community. This network is made up of powerful research centers housed in the country's leading universities, including centers of great tradition and influence and innovation, and the link between applied mathematics and the school system.
The ICMI Executive Committee (EC) would like to thank the International Program Committee (IPC) and Local Organizing Committee (LOC) of ICME-15, under the leadership of Convenor Professor Kim Beswick and LOC Chair Mr Will Morony, for their dedicated work in organizing a successful ICME.

The Programa de Desarrollo de Ciencias Básicas (PEDECIBA) depending of the Universidad de la República (Udelar) is the IMU adhering organization for Uruguay. The country representative for ICMI is elected by the Scientific Committee of Mathematics in PEDECIBA from its members.
The Tunisian Mathematical Society (Société Mathématique de Tunisie–SMT), serves as the IMU Adhering Organization and the national Committee for Mathematics. Since November 2024, the ICMI Country Representative for Tunisia has been the President of the Association of African Mathematics Didacticians (Association de Didacticiens des Mathématiques Africains – ADiMA), reflecting Tunisia’s growing engagement in international networks dedicated to mathematics education.
