The African Women in Mathematics Association (AWMA) was created at AIMS South Africa on July 19th 2013. Marie Françoise Ouedraogo (Burkina Faso) was elected president. The creation of  AWMA was a wish expressed by African women mathematicians at a workshop organized by the Committee “Women in math” of the African Mathematical Union and CIMPA in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso,  in 2012.

CWM was approved by the IMU Executive Committee in March 2015. Its first meeting took place in Cortona, Italy in September 2015; a detailed report can be found here. The second meeting was in Berlin, July 2016 and the third in Berlin in May 2017.

CWM is organizing the first Worldwide Meeting for Women in Mathematics in Rio as a satellite event of ICM.

Here you can find recordings of some mathematical lectures given by prominent female speakers, and also some presentations and panel discussions organised at WiM events.

On this page you will find some biographies of  individuals. Please let us know if you are aware of other good sources which might be included.
