The International Congress of Mathematicians (ICM) will take place in Saint Petersburg, Russia, between 6–14 July 2022. The registration and grant application for ICM 2022 are now open. Further information can be found here.

The 19th IMU General Assembly will be held shortly before ICM 2022 on 3–4 July.
The IMU grants a number of prestigious prizes and awards every four years at the ICM. A call for nominations for the 2022 IMU prizes was issued with an extended deadline of 28 February 2021. The VI Latin American Congress of Mathematicians (CLAM) will take place in Montevideo, Uruguay, September 13 - 17 (in virtual mode), organized under the auspices of the Union Matemática de Latinoamérica y el Caribe (UMALCA). More information and the registration form can be found here.
The unity of mathematics: A conference in honour of Sir Michael Atiyah will be held as a hybrid meeting from Tuesday 21- Thursday 23 September 2021 at the Isaac Newton Institute. The Shaw Prize in Mathematical Sciences 2021 has been awarded to Jean-Michel Bismut, Emeritus Professor, Mathematics Department, Université Paris-Saclay, France and Jeff Cheeger, Professor of Mathematics at the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University, USA. The IMU EC held its annual meeting between March 19-21, 2021. The meeting was hosted virtually for the first time due to travel restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters has announced László Lovász (Alfréd Rényi Institute of Mathematics/Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary) and Avi Wigderson (Princeton Univerersity, USA) as joint recipients of the Abel Prize for 2021.

The 2020 Ramanujan Prize for Young Mathematicians from Developing Countries has been awarded to Carolina Araujo, a researcher at the Institute for Pure and Applied Mathematics (IMPA) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
